Cerro Castillo

Stunning national park that unfortunately wasn’t able to fully explore - an avalanche closed off half the trail a day before set to begin. Made the best of it with an up and back route on the backside. Included fun scrambles, variety of vegetation, and a handful of farm dogs chasing through the easement that was assured was a legal way to enter the park. The glacial lake was iced over because of the same storm that closed the trail, so didn’t get to see its full turquoise glory.
